Principles and standards of chicken house ventilation

The ventilation of the chicken house is also important to the chicken house, because the chickens are raised in the chicken cages. If the ventilation is not done well, it will cause a series of problems. So today we will talk about the original standards and principles of chicken house ventilation.

Ventilation principle: farmers must ensure that the air in the chicken house is fresh and evenly ventilated. The maximum ventilation volume in summer is the standard when designing, and the local winter climate (design minimum ventilation volume) is also considered.

Fan layout principle: install on the gable on the side of the sewage channel or the nearby longitudinal walls. The height of the fan is 0.4-0 m from the ground level or the center is higher than the feeder floor. The fan can be combined with large and small fans when arranging the fans. The diameter of the fan is both 1400 mm and 700 mm.

The air inlet is generally roughly equal to the cross-sectional area of the chicken house or twice the exhaust area. In the case of a certain amount of ventilation in the chicken house, reducing the cross-sectional area can increase the wind speed in the house.

  1. Ventilation design of closed chicken house. Adopts mechanical negative pressure ventilation mode, and the chicken house is ventilated longitudinally with axial fans. The wind speed of the chicken house: about 1.5-2.5 m/s in summer; 0.5-1.0 m/s in spring and autumn; 0.1-0.2 m/s in winter.

Ventilation design: total exhaust air volume = wind speed (m/s) * chicken house cross-sectional area (m2), and then calculate the number of fans based on the total exhaust air volume.

The air inlet is designed on the gable wall at the other end of the chicken house, and small ventilation windows are set on the longitudinal walls on both sides near the gable wall to facilitate ventilation in winter.

Ventilation system control: It is recommended to use an automatic temperature control system. In order to control the number of fans and the wind speed of the chicken house.

  1. semi-open chicken house ventilation design. Adopts the mode of combining natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation. The chicken house is designed with day lighting windows, in addition to floor windows, skylights, ventilated roofs, etc. Mechanical auxiliary ventilation when necessary in summer.
