Most chicken houses that use poultry farm equipment to keep chickens are closed, so when working on laying hens, farmers need to purchase lighting equipment for artificial lighting. Reasonable and scientific lighting helps to promote the growth and production of laying hens, so lighting work is very important. The following authors will come to the chicken feeding equipment to raise chickens for artificial replenishment of the four precautions.
1. The illumination should be stable: when the artificial light is used, the farmers need to adjust the illumination according to the different age stages of the laying hen. The authors recommend that farmers should have light management for different ages of laying hens: 24 hours a day for 1-3 days of age. 4-14 days old, reduced by 1 hour per day until 13 hours; 15-21 days old, reduced by 0.5 hours per day until 9.5 hours. 4 weeks old, 9 hours per day; 5-15 weeks old, 8 hours per day; 16-18 weeks old, 1 hour to 11 hours per week; after 19 weeks of age, 0.5 to 16 hours per week constant.
2. The intensity should be suitable: the farmer should also determine the growth stage of the laying hen when selecting the intensity of the light equipment. It is recommended that the farmer should have a light intensity of 20-40 lux when the laying hen is 1-3 days old. If the light is dark, the young child’s vision is weak, and it is inconvenient to eat and drink. When the laying hens grow to the growth stage of 4 days to 18 weeks of age, the light intensity is preferably dark, generally 5 lux, and the light intensity after 19 weeks is generally 10-20 lux.
3. Uniform illumination: Farmers should pay attention to the installation of lighting equipment in the chicken house. The bulb equipment to be installed should be 40-60 watts. When installing, the height of the lamp should be 2 meters and the lamp distance should be 3 meters. If the farmer’s house needs to install more than 2 rows of bulbs, they should choose to cross the arrangement. The distance between the wall and the wall should be half of the bulb spacing. Also, please pay attention to replace the damaged bulb at any time, and wipe the bulb once a week. In order to maintain proper brightness inside the house.
4. It is advisable to use red light: chicken feeding equipment – the light color of the lighting equipment will have different effects on the growth of the laying hens, and the light color of the lighting equipment is different and the wavelengths are different. Tests have shown that hens raised under red light have higher egg production rates than hens under other color light when other conditions are the same.
The above four points of attention are the points that the farmers need to pay attention to when using the lighting equipment for manual care, which is only for reference by the farmers.
